Stations of the Cross

Historic parish photograph or document

A new and good Set of Stations were needed. Having made soundings through the parish, the Parish Committee and Parish Priest decided to order through Gill’s a set to be hand carved by a craftsman in Northern Italy. He spent almost two years on the work and they arrived at Easter. They are traditional and very beautiful. The parishioners are delighted and we all feel we have a treasure to enjoy and then pass on with pride to succeeding generations.

According to new arrangements, Drumconrath and Lobinstown Parishes will be joined for the purpose of Confirmation. Sixth class each year will be eligible for the Sacrament, which will be administered this year in Drumconrath and next year in Lobinstown and so on.
