Meath Hill Church was erected by Fr. McCormack in 1843, and was dedicated to St. Patrick. It was rectangular shaped with one long aisle and the altar on the south wall. Prior to the completion of Fr. Brady’s history in the 1930’s the dedication of the church had been changed to St. Brigid.
In 1943 the church celebrated it’s centenary.
