While Fr. O’Brien lived at Rouskey a site was donated by the Foster family at Violet Hill and he built a
parochial house on it. He lived there until his death in 1861. The house then passed into the hands of his relatives. This house was recently occupied by the late Mrs. Kathleen Duffy having purchased it from the previous owner.
