Drumconrath Parochial House

• Drumconrath Parochial House
Fr. Magrane obtained, with much difficulty, an extension to the parochial property in Drumconrath. In January 1862 he commenced building ‘a home in perpetuity, not for friends or relatives, but for
successors in the ministry, for the future Parish Priests’. Fr. Magrane took up residence in the new presbytery in November 1862. The cost of the residence and out-offices was £600.00. Over the years considerable improvements have been made by successive parish priests.
